CHANCHAL SAMADDER, CFA

HEAD OF PRODUCT STRATEGY, LYXOR ETF

Chanchal Samadder is head of product strategy at Lyxor ETF. Having joined Lyxor in 2013 as Head of UK ETF Sales and moving in 2017 to head the Equity ETF Strategy. He is now responsible for overseeing the product and distribution strategy of Lyxor’s range of over 230 ETFs . Chanchal started his career in 2003 with UBS Wealth Management in London on the Advisory Trading desk specializing in listed equity derivatives after which he spent five years at Blackrock leading the sales overage for UK Institutional clients at the iShares ETF business. Chanchal holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science and is a CFA Charterholder.

PIERRE DEGAGNÉ

HEAD OF FUNDS SELECTION DBS PRIVATE BANK SINGAPORE

Pierre DeGagne joined DBS Private Bank in September 2013 and is currently Head of Funds Selection. He is responsible for the selection of high conviction funds in both the traditional and alternative space. With focus on delivering client oriented solutions, Pierre is responsible for identifying, reviewing, and communicating our conviction ideas though multiple channels. With an emphasis on deep dive subjective research, his team works to identify funds that can deliver outperformance on a forwardlooking basis. He is integral to the bank’s efforts to institutionalize their overall annuity strategy with enhanced systems, client support and implementable model solutions. Pierre has over 15 years of experience interviewing Portfolio Managers globally and identifying teams with competitive advantages in the market. Before joining DBS, Pierre was the Head of Fund Selection for Standard Chartered Bank, and held the position of Director at Merrill Lynch. Most recently, Pierre worked as a Principal at Mercer Consulting. Pierre holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Studies from University of Manitoba and is a CFA Charterholder. A Canadian citizen, Pierre has lived in Austria, Germany & UK, before settling in Singapore with his wife. Together they have a young daughter.

JACOB DOO

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER ENVYSION WEALTH MANAGEMENT SINGAPORE

Jacob is a founding member of the Envysion Wealth Management team and currently serves as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO). He brings with him more than two decades of experience in managing multi-asset classes and providing structured finance solutions. Jacob offers a wealth of insight into navigating investments throughout market cycles and dynamically managing investment portfolios. He has been through the Asian financial crisis as a trader, the internet bubble as a fund manager and the global financial crisis as the main person leading the portfolio management team in Julius Baer. Before joining Envysion, Jacob served as the acting Global Head of FX, Interest Rates and Commodities in addition to his role as the Global Product Manager for Fixed Income and Equities within WMPS in Standard Chartered Bank. He also previously helmed the position of Head of Structured Products, Asia for Julius Baer, where he managed portfolios and investment strategies through the global financial crisis. Besides his position at Envysion, he is also an independent reviewer on the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Standards courses, ensuring that the training programme meets the requirements of the IBF standard. Jacob holds two Masters, one being in Applied Finance from Macquarie University and another in Financial Engineering from the National University of Singapore in collaboration with the University of Waterloo and Cornell University.

JEAN-MAURICE LADURE, CFA

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND HEAD OF EQUITY APPLIED RESEARCH, EMEA, MSCI

Jean-Maurice Ladure is Executive Director and Head of Equity Applied Research, EMEA with responsibility for research to support new and existing indexes and risk models, including factor, ESG and economic exposure indexes, as well as performance and risk attribution. He also serves as an ambassador to asset owners and managers on the role of indexes and factor models in asset allocation and portfolio construction. Prior to joining MSCI, he held a number of roles at Coutts, the private bank of RBS. As Global Head of Quantitative Solutions, he was instrumental in developing Coutts’ client proposition and was responsible for investment performance analysis and portfolio risk. Before that, he was Head of Investment Strategy in Europe, primarily responsible for making investment recommendations within managed portfolios. This was based on modelling the interactions between economics and financial assets, assessing equity market valuations and capturing investor sentiment effects on markets. Prior to Coutts, he was an investment strategist at Barclays Wealth and also worked at BNP Paribas Asset Management, as an institutional portfolio manager and quantitative analyst. Jean-Maurice holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Statistics from ENSAE in France and is a CFA charter holder and a French actuary.

LUKAS NECKERMANN

MANAGING DIRECTOR, NECKERMANN STRATEGIC ADVISORS

Lukas Neckermann is Managing Director at Neckermann Strategic Advisors, a consultancy based in London and New York with a focus on emerging new mobility trends and their strategic impact. He is also Chief Strategist at Splyt, a mobility and travel ecosystem startup. He began his automotive career in BMW’s Central Marketing department, where he co developed the first BMW.com website and helped launch the innovative Z8 sports car. Lukas joined Allianz in 2002, reporting to the Group’s CEO, Michael Diekmann. He rose through various strategic and line leadership functions, including Head of Business Development for Allianz Automotive, Head of Group Learning – responsible for the company’s corporate university, and Commercial Director of Euler Hermes UK plc. Lukas is the author of three books, The Mobility Revolution, Corporate Mobility Breakthrough 2020, and most recently, Smart Cities, Smart Mobility. He is advisor to four further start-up companies: NEXT Future Transportation Inc. based in Silicon Valley, as well as Hyperion Executive Search, Flock, and Eliport, each based in Europe. He is an Adjunct Instructor at New York University, where he teaches “Strategy for the Entrepreneur”. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Technology Studies from Cornell University, and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

ARNULFO DE PALA

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER TRILAKE PARTNERS SINGAPORE

Arnulfo de Pala has worked in the industry across four continents for over 30 years. Prior to joining TriLake Partners as their CIO, he worked in all aspects of asset management from sales, marketing and product development to teaching, industry advocacy and portfolio management (with a couple of detours into investment banking, risk management and fintech). Noli is a past president of CFA Philippines and continues to be an active volunteer for CFA Institute.
